Coolmation's Technical Director Karl Kilford shows businesses how to optimize energy efficiency
Coolmation have positions available in both Sales and Service operations
DEFRA's "F-Gas Support" body has reported that at July 4th, the date it became a legal requirement for all refrigeration and air conditioning businesses to hold full F-Gas company certification, just 50% of the 4700 companies registered had upgraded to full mandatory certification. The rest are now considered to be trading unlawfully. In short, practicing engineers who do not now hold a full Personnel Certificate and operating businesses in the sector which do not hold a full Company Certificate are committing a criminal offence.
What does this mean to you?
You wouldn't employ a gas engineer without Gas Safe Registration to service or maintain a gas appliance at home or work, the same should now apply to any company or engineer you engage to work on any refrigeration or air conditioning equipment including chillers. They must be able to show evidence of their FGAS Certification.
Our certification and commitment to safe practice
Both Coolmation Ltd and Coolmation Service Ltd (Service4Chillers), have full FGAS certification, awarded on the basis that all of our service and maintenance engineers hold City and Guilds 2079, the qualification required for personal and company conformity. Our FGAS certification came following a full audit by REFCOM and as further evidence of our commitment to qualified safe practice in refrigerant handling and management, both companies achieved the very latest REFCOM Elite certificate.
